Birthday Treats

It was my Birthday yesterday and as always I was spoiled with lovely Birthday treats. I am so blessed to have such lovely friends, family and Boyfriend  -who all treated me to some amazing presents and a wicked day! Miles got me a lovely Chanel brooch that is considered vintage and from Provence. I think it is dreamy and really special as Miles chose it for me. I love very few designers like I love Chanel and Marc Jacbos. I also got a whole host of other equally amazing and thoughtful presents that I will blog about shortly, however tonight I have limited pictures of all my loot so I can only share my new brooch. I hope everyone is having a lovely week…. x

Good Looking Books

Good looking books seem to be my newest obsession. It’s just something about how beautiful they are, with their pretty covers, pictures and pretty insides. I’m in love with the Domino book, I received it for Christmas and it’s a real reading delight! I love Domino magazine it’s so fresh and full of energy, I recently subscribed but it takes so long to get to me in the UK it makes me a little sad. Also occupying my coffee table is the Chanel book and The Kitchen Revolution. Both books I’m yet to totally get to grips with, but both  are really beautiful and The Kitchen Revolution  promises to change the way you cook forever, so I’m looking forward to that.  If anyone has any other recommendations for inspiring, pretty books please let me know….. I’m buying new book shelf in a couple of weeks so I hope to fill it with plenty more lovelies.

I turn 24 on Wednesday, scary but true…….

Pipe/Bike Dreams

If only….. this is such a distant dream (a real pipe dream)! I’m madly in love with the idea of getting a good looking bike: one that is pretty plus a joy to ride. The baby pink, or baby blue Brompton folder would be the dream. However they are very expensive, at around  £600 – £700 and thus not realistic. I spent today strolling around the Spitalfields area in London, followed by Brink Lane and all the cool shops/boutiques that surround. It reminded me how much I want a bike to get out and about on. The idea of  hopping on a bike to see the sights as opposed the crowded buses, or the hot tube trains sounds like heaven.

I have been ogling London Cycle Chic Blog for months now wanting to have my own beautiful bike, hoping to live close enough to ride to work most days. London Cycle Chic has some amazing accessories on sale, plus loads of ideas. My choice, if I owned the bike of my dreams would certainly be this gorgeous cycle basket from The Design House Stockholm which doubles up as a super cool shopping basket, combined with this amazing Bern cycle helmet. Oh a girl can dream….. or she could save?

My Floral Friend

I had to share this as I just love this rabbit that Miles got me for Christmas not only is it incredibly cute but it reminds me of all things fresh and spring like. Fresh is a good feeling after all the Christmas and New Year festivities. I haven’t really made any resolutions this year – just the promise to do everything better, be better and be happy! Phew just a small ask. I’m currently dreaming of warm weather, morning bird song and flowers – all of which we have none at the moment. Back to work in a few days and my 24 birthday in less than 2 weeks! I have just watched Priceless, the Audrey Tautou flim for the second time – I love it!

Anyway Gossip Girl season finale soon, really can’t wait ….. I’ve heard its going to break your heart (sorry non Gossip Girl fans). Until then I’m off to do some more sleeping, hopefully going to catch the Reader (new Kate Winslet film) tomorrow.
